ISBI LYON – INTERNATIONAL SUMMER BALLET INTENSIVE
6th Edition – June 29 to July 25, 2026

Lyon, France – Lyon Dance Studios

The International Summer Ballet Intensive (ISBI) Lyon is a high-level intensive training program designed for intermediate, advanced, and pre-professional dancers aged 14 and above. This sixth edition marks an important milestone, celebrating five years of excellence and artistic development within Lyon Dance Studios.

OBJECTIVES AND PHILOSOPHY

​

The program was created to offer dancers an environment that fosters both technical and artistic growth. It emphasizes the development of precision, musicality, and artistry, while integrating a holistic approach to movement and mental preparation.

Participants will evolve in a demanding yet supportive atmosphere, benefiting from the teaching of internationally renowned educators and artists with extensive experience in the world’s leading companies and schools.

PEDAGOGICAL PROGRAM

​

The intensive is structured around key disciplines essential to a well-rounded training:

• Classical Ballet: technique classes, pointe, boys’ technique, variations, and repertoire

• Contemporary Dance: interpretation workshops, floor work, and repertoire

• Somatic and Conditioning Methods: floor barre, Feldenkrais®, Gyrokinesis®

• Dancer Conditioning: strength development, flexibility, and endurance

• Mental Preparation Seminars: focus optimization, confidence building, and stress management

• Private Coaching: personalized guidance for in-depth individual work

This intensive program is designed to maximize dancers’ progress both technically and artistically, providing concrete tools to support their professional journey.

The program is open to intermediate, advanced, and pre-professional dancers who wish to:

• Prepare for auditions and a career in dance

• Explore new approaches to movement and physical conditioning

Evening classes will also be offered for dancers of different levels, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace.
